Wims: a Overview
Timeline: Late Pre-Ages --- Current
Wims are a large Supergroup of invertebrates consisting of 17 Groups, the group has adapted to various ecologies from the marine to the soil to the overground to the volcanoes themselves.
Wims are the oldest of Unikaria's creatures, originating in the late Pre-Ages roughly 788mya, although most of the ancient lineages died out by the tail end of the Lyfian Era, a couple of groups have survived since that period namely the Accursed and Ancient Groups. Wims are completely soft bodied  minus a few hard growths some groups and species show that are of a hardened silk substance.
Wims began to reach larger sizes during the Lyfian Era to compete for food with the newer Supergroups that emerged since the Pre-Ages.
History
-------
Evolving roughly 788mya they were the sole multicellular life on Unikaria for many millions of years until the Amorphians evolved just before the end of the Pre-Ages which brought great competition to the wims for the first tim

Unikaria Synopsis
The Unikaria Project a hobby in the implausible evolutions of implausible animals in a implausible world, a world like our own but very much different.
Unikaria is a large Earth-like planet which is roughly 2.5 times larger than our own Earth, just as dense, with a larger moon, more oxygen in the Atmosphere, Orbits are barely further distance and a 452 Day Year.
The world is currently 60% land and 40% water. The land is a super continent with lots of flooded land, reaching pole to pole with many scattered islands. The North pole is much like our own, cold. Its frozen year round and covered in blankets of snow on top of deep ice and permafrost. The south pole however is the opposite, extremely hot. Once a tropical rainforest and desert continent, the shifting of the land to create the modern supercontient cause mass volcanic eruptions in the regions and less rainfall. The pole is now considered a wasteland by the tribal natives and survivable for the non-adapted wildlife.

Back home, there are an estimate of 80,500 species of chordates covering only three percent of the animal pie chart.  On Great Lakes Earth today, there are still 80,500 species of chordates, but now taking up only half of one percent of the pie chart.  Back home and on Great Lakes Earth, another 80% of the pie is reserved for one phylum—Arthropoda.  To understand how this could be, let us rewind 444.4 million years, in which life on Great Lakes Earth, over 150 million years after the Cambrian Explosion, witnessed its first and worst mass extinction.  90 to 95% of all life perished in a combination of carbon excesses from the flood basalt eruptions of Terra Australis (Sahul and East Antarctica); rogue algal blooms that robbed the oceans of oxygen, suffocating them and a 25-mile-wide ball of pure iron slamming into what we’d call easter

Giants of the Arctic Depths, Great Lakes Earth
For :iconInkGink:'s February contest in :iconSpec-Evo-Club:.  Theme:  LARGE
The reefbuilders of Great Lakes Earth are very alien compared to ours back home.  For starters, Anthozoa, the class consisting of corals and sea anemones, have been extinct for 444.4 million years.  Also on the hitlist were Archaeocyatha (believed to be poriferans) and Paracrinoidea (primitive sea lilies).  In their absence, crinoids, blastoids, edrioasteroids, sponges, barnacles, bivalves and fan-head worms took the opportunity.  By 65 million years ago, only the latter three remained.  The bivalves did not suffer a noticeable loss as a whole back then, but Hippuritoida, the rudist order, suffered a 64% loss in diversity before becoming extinct entirely as recently as five million years ago.
In tropical waters, within the confines of Cancer and Capricorn, the only reefbuilders you would find were Canalipalpata, the fan-head worms.  In waters so poor in nutrients,

A Study in Pokemon Taxonomy
The science and practice of organizing and classifying Pokémon into a coherent ordering that does not directly contradict the already well-established taxonomy of all other life forms is a daunting task that has troubled Pokémon biologists for some time due to several main factors: the general differences between Pokémon and other life forms at the cellular level; contrary to that, the similarities in body structure of many Pokémon and similar animals; the dilemma of whether to count Pokémon as more closely related by Elemental type or by body structure; and the lack of any sort of clear pattern of common decent amongst Pokémon, contrary to most other categories of life.
The first and foremost point that must be addressed in Pokémon Biology is their inherent cellular energy signature.  This is the reason why Pokémon's cell structure can be easily destabilized and compressed into energy for storing inside a Poké ball.  It

what will be done/made

everything will be written:

a new introduction to the world, including how Taxonomy works in this world.
a new Map
all supergroups and groups will be categorized
after all supergoups/groups are done environments will be done one at a time, with 1 group of animals per environment as a post
Unikaria will resume shortly, just life got majorly complicated  quickly haha heh back to normal!

well short reason is im branching out been working on a project for a while that isnt Unikaria, called Saturday Night Wars.

Saturday Night Wars is a tabletop Skirmish MOBA inspired Wargame where teams of 7 characters battle it out for objectives. i will go more in depth soon but dont worry Unikaria will continue too.

in other news, specifically Unikaria, i will be going straight to species creation, its had me on the edge of my seat to start so i will start, thanks for being patient with me :)
